CULINARY PANEL WITH INDIAN CHEF MANI PRAKASH
Koh Samui, March 1, 2018 – The awarded InterContinental Samui Baan Taling Ngam Resort expands
its delectable food and beverage offering once more. The resort has appointed Mr. Mani Prakash as
the new Senior Sous Chef who oversees the resort’s culinary operations and is able to cater to the most
elaborate of Indian weddings and festivities.
Chef Mani brings with him over 16 years of culinary experience & expertise in managing operations,
having worked in different International five-star hotels in Thailand and India. Before joining
InterContinental Samui Baan Taling Ngam Resort, his earlier assignment was as the Head Indian Chef
at Amari Koh Samui. He has a keen interest in sustainable culinary practices, sourcing ingredients
locally, reinterpreting authentic Indian dishes with a modern local twist and in the heritage of world

Colourful, elegant and with a touch of Bollywood combined with mouth-watering Indian dishes,
specialities and delights. From savoury Punjabi chicken tikka to Meen mapas up to heavenly desserts
such as Gajar ka halwa and rasgulla, nothing is missing at the weekly ‘Tandoori Night’. Guests can
enjoy this fabulous Indian culinary journey every Wednesday night at the hotel’s elegant Amber
restaurant overlooking the Gulf of Thailand. Right in front of the guests, Kebabs and Nann breads are
prepared at live cooking stations under the watchful eyes of Chef Mani.
