Meet The Dolphins

Our very special neighbors at Intercontinental® Koh Samui Resort are the famous pink dolphins, a subspecies of the Indo-Pacific Humpback Dolphin. The Resort’s private speedboat will take you directly to some of the dolphins’ favorite spots off of the coast of Khanom on the Thai mainland. Here you’ll be able to feed them directly from the boat as they surface and frolic with their playful cousins, the Irrawaddy dolphins. Both types of dolphins are extremely rare and facing conservation threats. After your trip to meet the dolphins, you’ll head to Koh Tan Island for some fantastic snorkeling among massive coral reef formations.

Only 25 mins by speed boat from our hotel to the Khanon area. There are four varieties of Dolphin species inhabiting these waters, most notably the Indo-Pacific Humback Dolphin. Blood flow beneath their skin is the contributing factor in the adult dolphin's unique pink hue. These dolphin's are wonderful acrobats and you will know doubt witness this first hand. Join us on an amazing day tour to see and experience the wonderful and rare pink dolphin's. On the return journey why not stop by at Koh Tan and enjoy some snorkeling, swim amongst a myriad of exotic tropical reef fish, fan corals and glide over enormous giant clams.
